THE 9-11 REMEMBRANCE FLAG
The 9/11 Remembrance Flag was designed to honor and remember the thousands of heroes lost on September 11, 2001, who knowingly or not, gave up their lives for our freedom. When such an historical event as this takes place, it is our duty as American citizens to ensure that our future generations keep these memories alive; not dwelling on the sadness and devastation that occurred, but learning from the circumstances and making every effort to prevent similar tragedies in our future.
~ The 9/11 Remembrance Flag is our way of keeping the events and lost lives on that tragic day alive forever. Wherever you display this flag, people will be reminded of the September 11th incident and all others relating to it. But the greatest reminder will not be what the terrorists took from us that day, rather how we all united together, physically, emotionally, monetarily, and willingly... risking our lives, if necessary, for the freedom of our children and our children's children.

"I really do appreciate your efforts to help those of us who are left behind. I guess the most painful thing about all of this is not being able to see my husband ever again. I know that with the Remembrance Flag, I will be able to honor his life and his devotion to his Country and to the United States Navy. I will also be able to display it so that our child will understand the sacrifice that her Daddy made for his country. It is a beautiful and meaningful design and I thank you -Fondly, Stephanie "

STORY OF THE 9-11 "NEVER FORGET" REMEMBRANCE FLAG
Press release from The 42nd Infantry Division and Task Force Liberty:
9-11 ‘Never Forget’ Flag Presented
FORT DRUM, NEW YORK – Soldiers of the 42nd Infantry Division task force, known as Task Force Liberty, momentarily paused from their deployment preparations on September 11th to remember the tragic events of three years ago. Part of the division ceremony at Fort Drum included a presentation to the command of the 9-11 Remembrance Flag, depicting the 42nd Infantry Division’s new motto, “Never Forget"...
...Soldiers from the Rainbow Division were among the first military responders at the World Trade Center site on September 11th, 2001. The division would later assume command and control of the entire New York National Guard joint task force for response and recovery in lower Manhattan. The National Guard response in New York City would reach more than 1,800 Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines in the days and weeks following the attacks. The 9-11 “Never Forget” flag was designed and produced for the 42nd Infantry Division by Gwendolyn Loiacono from the Cono Flags Company in Wilmington, North Carolina."
The flag is based on her 9-11 Remembrance Flag, produced and sold commercially in order to raise funds for 9-11 related foundations. “We stand here today, three years after that terrible day, to remember the sacrifice and devotion of so many Rainbow Soldiers,” said Maj. Gen. Joseph Taluto, the 42nd Infantry Division Commander to the more than one hundred assembled Soldiers."

"I am writing to Thank You for all you and your husband are doing for the victims of Sept.11, 2001. My brother and his wife worked an the 92nd floor of tower one world trade center. They were married just one year in August and were expecting their first child (they were so excited) Sylvia was 7 months pregnant. I can't begin to tell you the pain myself and my family are going through. Its just a nice feeling knowing there are people like you and your husband that are doing so much to help us through this. I just want you to know your kindness has touched my family and will never be forgotten... I thought you might want to know a little about three of the people that your flag represents- John,Sylvia, and their baby- I can not thank you enough. -Dawn"
